Brief: Renovation & Alteration with a city view
Tinning St house represents a much needed update to the family home for a growing family. Like many dwellings built at the turn of the 20th century, the home lacked the seemingly modern luxuries of daylight, ventilation, storage and sufficient wet areas. The proposed renovation and alteration sets out to correct those shortcomings and missed opportunities.
Highly visible from the streetscape, and surrounded by an eclectic mix of building stock, the proposed addition adapts seamlessly with the heritage part yet retains a unique personality through it’s form, materiality and detailing.
